# Import & Export

> Ways to get data in and out of Pond.

## Imports

### Highlights and annotations

Pond can pull your existing highlights and annotations into your library:

* **Readwise** — connect your Readwise account to sync highlights and annotations on an ongoing basis.
* **Obsidian, Notion, and Evernote exports** — upload a ZIP export of your notes from these services. Pond parses them into freestanding Notes and auto-extracts Fragments where it can.

The following sync pipelines are planned:

* **Kindle** — direct highlight + annotation sync
* **Instapaper** — saved articles and highlights
* **Zotero** — references and annotations from your research library

### Web content, video, PDFs, and images

## Export

You can download an entire Thread as a `.zip` of Markdown files from the **Thread settings** menu — the export includes the Thread itself, the Artefacts and Fragments it draws from, and any Notes you've made on it.

A full account export — all your Artefacts, Fragments, Threads, and Notes in one archive — is available from the **Settings** menu.
